The destination

Le Havre, the Norman city that surprises teams

When a company announces a seminar in Normandy, its teams imagine countryside, cliffs or beaches. Le Havre wrong-foots everyone: it is a maritime, industrial and resolutely modern city, whose centre rebuilt by Auguste Perret is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This surprise effect is a cohesion asset in itself: nobody arrives with preconceived ideas, and everyone leaves having discovered something.

Concretely, the city offers three distinct settings in a small area: the UNESCO centre and its perspectives of pale concrete, the port and its giant infrastructure, and the sea with the beach, the seafront and the cliff of Sainte-Adresse. Few Norman cities combine such diversity in so few kilometres.

Le Havre is reachable in about 2h15 by train from Paris-Saint-Lazare and via the A29 or A13 motorway. Source: SNCF Connect, to be checked for your dates.

What sets us apart

The port and UNESCO architecture: a setting nobody makes use of

This is our approach in Le Havre. The local team building offer is very largely an offer of closed rooms: escape games, virtual reality, laser, indoor parks. These formats work, and we run several, but they tell nothing about the place where your teams are. A game room in Le Havre is a game room like any other.

We build, on the contrary, programmes that take the city as their playground: rallies and treasure trails in the Perret centre and around the Bassin du Commerce, architecture discovery routes in teams, reading the port landscape. Le Havre is one of the few French cities where you can help a team understand, in half a day, how a major container port works and how an entire city was rethought after the war. We have documented this territory in detail: see our article on industrial tourism in Le Havre, the port and the architecture.

Urban rally in teams in the UNESCO centre, between the Saint-Joseph church, the Town Hall and the seafront.

12h30

Lunch on the harbour or in a privatised venue.

Corporate regatta on sailboats, or an indoor murder party depending on the weather and the group’s profile.

Our role

We organise the day, not just the entertainment

That is the difference between booking a slot and entrusting an event. A leisure centre sells you two hours within its walls. We take charge of the whole day:

All on a single quote: one purchase order, one invoice, one number to call.

If your team building is part of a larger event with rooms and accommodation, see our dedicated page on the seminar in Le Havre.

  • The activity and its hosts, sized to your numbers and objective
  • The venue, including its privatisation, and access permits when the programme requires them
  • Lunch and breaks, with management of dietary requirements and allergies
  • Transfers from Le Havre station or from your head office
  • The evening and its entertainment, if you extend
  • A dedicated project manager on site on the day, and a fallback plan if the weather turns

Our head office is in Saint-Arnoult, on the other side of the estuary, about 35 minutes from Le Havre via the Pont de Normandie. We work in Normandy, and only in Normandy, exclusively for companies and organisations. In a port and maritime territory, it matters: tide times, skippers who know how to host a group, access and permits cannot be booked from an online catalogue.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ: Team building in Le Havre

What team building activities can we do in Le Havre?+

The most requested formats in Le Havre are the murder party with actors, the urban rally in the UNESCO-listed centre, the corporate regatta on sailboats, kayaking and paddle on the coast, Olympics, sporting challenges on the seafront, the cooking class and the wine workshop. The choice depends on group size, cohesion goal and season.

Why choose Le Havre rather than another Normandy city?+

For the surprise effect and the diversity of settings. When a company announces a seminar in Normandy, teams imagine the countryside or the beaches. Le Havre offers a maritime and industrial city, a rebuilt centre listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, France’s leading container port and the seafront, all in a small area.

What to offer a team that has already done an escape game?+

The local team building offer is largely an offer of closed rooms, and these formats wear out quickly. Our answer is to take the city as the playground: a rally in the UNESCO centre, a regatta from the port, a route reading the port landscape. Le Havre is one of the few cities where you can help a team understand, in half a day, how a major port works.

How many participants for a team building in Le Havre?+

From 10 people for a workshop to 200 people for Olympics or an urban rally. Beyond that, we combine several activities in parallel with team rotation. We organise events of up to 1,000 participants in Normandy.

What if it rains on the day of the team building?+

Every programme includes an indoor fallback solution: murder party, mobile escape game set up in your venue, cooking class, wine-tasting or cocktail workshop. The decision is made with you the day before or the same morning, with no extra coordination cost. It is a point we systematically organise for seaside programmes.

Can Le Havre and Honfleur be combined in the same event?+

Yes, the two towns face each other across the Seine estuary and are linked by the Pont de Normandie in about twenty minutes. It is a striking contrast between a modern port city and a historic fishing port, which some of our programmes make use of over two days.
